You can help us build a foundation for the future! With your help we can provide more scholarships and support for preserving our traditional language and culture.
At the heart of Dakota Indian Foundation is a belief that education is essential to making life better for future generations. Each semester, approximately 100 students receive a scholarship to support their collegiate studies. Students must be enrolled in a South Dakota tribe, have attended a college or university on a full-time basis, and carry a minimum grade point average.

Congratulations to Geraldina Delgado, a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Member who graduated from the University of North Dakota.
Dina received a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and was a recipient of the Dakota Indian Foundation Scholarship throughout her collegiate studies.
Nicholas Estes (left), a Kul Wičása (Lower Brule) tribal member, is an Assistant Professor in the American Indian Studies Department at the University of Minnesota. He has cofounded The Red Nation and Red Media. He appears with his book "Our History is the Future". Nick is Dakota Indian Foundation Scholar.
